For more than 25 years, Julie Zirbel has partnered with some
of the most innovative developers, managers and management companies
in the world to redefine the signature of ultra-luxury hospitality
and wellness.
Julie began her career in Hawaii working in travel
and tourism where she specialized in marketing and public relations
for hotels, resorts and airlines. She was both chief marketing
architect and launch team partner for a select group of Hawaii’s
most celebrated properties, including the Kahala Hilton, Mauna
Kea Beach Hotel and Villas, Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea
and the Hualalei development.
After relocating to Los Angeles, she joined Manning, Selvage & Lee
public relations as vice president, and supervised a number
of highly successful new product introductions, including the
State of California’s first-ever tourism marketing campaign;
the inaugural of both Crystal Cruises and its first ship, Crystal
Harmony; and the opening of the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea.
She started a public relations/consultancy in the mid-1990s
where she represented Princess Hotels International and also
ran the West Coast office for PT & Co., an international
public relations firm based in New York City.
More recently, she joined Rosewood Hotels & Resorts as director
of corporate communications, where she supervised a network of
worldwide PR firms and acted as company spokesperson for the
ultra-luxury hotel company.
In 2003, she formed a marketing communications
firm named Adara Communications. Adara is Greek for beauty/health/wellness.
She is located in Tucson, an epicenter for spa and wellness entities.
She has been honored by leading organizations
in the field of marketing communications, including having received
a Silver Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of America.
